Inspections

Three inspection options are available:

Guided checklist — walks you through everything you should check during an inspection.
Basic text input — like writing notes in the field.
AI Agent (app-only) — silently interprets and takes notes while you work, attaches photos when you ask for one, or guides you through an inspection and answers questions along the way.

Every inspection is saved to its hive and can be reread at any time, on either the app or the website.

Automatic flagging — issues you mention during an inspection raise a flag.

About Hive Yard

Website

This is a website built by a beekeeper for beekeepers. This is intended to be a free tool to help others make their hives healthier and happier. Beekeeping is important. This website was created and is maintained solely by an amateur developer with a plethora of bee knowledge and limited coding knowledge. Please help me help you and your bees by notifying me of bugs or improvements/changes you want to see.

Application

An Android app is being developed alongside the website.

The app however takes considerably more work and upkeep than the website and a truly massive amount of checking, verifying, reviews, and legal work to ensure that it is safe and secure for all users. Enjoy using the website at the current usage tier for free while I get the app finished. Expect a timeline of early to mid 2027 for a first version rollout of the app with all features. Some of these features will cost me money, like the AI Agent assisting you with inspections, as such, some of these features will be limited to a premium plan upon app launch. More of these features will come to the website at that time.

Hive Yard is an offline-first beekeeping companion. Your records live on your device and stay available in the yard with no signal — and your changes mirror live from the app to the website, so you can review your hives from any browser.
